In this masterclass, I would be breaking down one of my favorite originals - The Kapi Dance, which was done in collaboration with the popular Hindustani Violinist Nandini Shankar. This session is for upcoming music producers who want more of an insight into my workflow while creating Indian fusion music.

What will be covered

  • An in-depth discussion of the composition, structure, ideas, and production behind the original track 'Kapi Dance'
  • A look into the Logic Pro Session, a breakdown of the chord structures, tracks, and layers
  • The journey of the song from scratch to the final master.

Who is this for?

  • Upcoming Music Producers
  • Musicians who want insights into professional music production
  • A listener who wants to know what goes on behind the scenes of a song.

I would be using Logic Pro to showcase the song for the purpose of this masterclass but the concepts can be executed across any DAW (Garageband, Ableton, Protools, Cubase, FL Studio, etc).

Any knowledge of Western/Indian Classical music theory and/or basic music production skills would benefit your understanding.
